I had a disappointing experience at Jmart due to poor customer service. I was overcharged at checkout. When I noticed the mistake, I spoke to another cashier for help. Instead of resolving the issue, she told me that only the cashier who had checked out my items could process the refund. I explained that the cashier had already left for the day, but she still insisted that I come back and speak with that same cashier. I live far away, so it’s very inconvenient for me to make another trip just to correct a store error. I’ve had a similar overcharge happen at Key Food before, and another cashier was able to verify the receipt and immediately refund the amount to my credit card without any issues. That’s the level of customer service I expected. I hope Jmart improves its customer service and trains its staff to handle simple refund situations more efficiently instead of making customers return because of the store’s mistake.

My local go to. The produces is always extraordinarily fresh, crisp, and beautifully displayed, with a vast selection of locally sourced fruits and vegetables. Beyond the produce section, the store is exceptionally clean, bright, and well-organized, making it easy to find everything on my grocery list. Love the imported drinks

Very dishonest place, they always trying to charge you more money than the price they displayed on their shelf! Very rude cashier (cashier #117), there was a big sale sign on their shelf saying super value pork buns was $10.99, but cash register rang up to $11.99, I showed the sign on their shelf, the nasty cashier yelled at me loudly in Chinese, “I have to charge you according our computer”, she spoke no English and obviously doesn’t understand the retailer law here that if customer saw the sale price, the store had to honor the sale price regardless what the computer says. When patiently explaining to her in Chinese, she continued being dismissive and even said “I don’t understand the law, so what? I’m not able to help you.” She also dumped all my other purchase the Beijing original flavored yogurts in a plastic bag so roughly caused one of them broke (I had total of 6), leaking all over in bag after I got home (see photos), I’ve been customer for all these years and they shows no respect or appreciation. First time me and my wife J Mart in Queens is definitely an experience a little overwhelming at first, but in the best way possible. So much fresh seafood, international foods, specialty items, and things you honestly can’t find in regular supermarkets. Me and my family love coming here to explore and try new things. We’ll definitely be back.

It was my first time here and knowing me when it comes to foods and treats- a huge fan. Whatever you want, they got it all. People are very nice, they'll help you and explain things to you if you need assistance- somewhat reminds me a little of the Chinatown in the beautiful Thailand. I got some teas, and a few aromatics for my cooking. After I finished my little food shopping I went to the "food court" downstairs (near the entrance) - got me the $10 plate to go. I also visited their bathroom- it was pretty clean. Honestly I'd definitely be back again to get my aromatics and more. If you need the real feel of Chinatown market-go to this one. Sorry, but the one (200 in the city) could not compare to this one. I'd still visit them if I happened to be in the city but I got a new spot.

An amazingly huge store. The fish section was extremely large. They had fish I had only seen on t.v. It was a great place to walk around and spend and hour before the Mets game. I wish we had a J mart at home.

4.5 rounded up. If I could be so lucky to live closer to this Chinese supermarket! This place is well stocked with lots of different brands of each type of item. Large candy and snack section. Fresh seafood and meat. Reasonable priced veggies and fruit. Maybe the frozen section might be smaller than other stores this size. Did not notice any minimum for credit card purchases when I made a $15 purchase. Dec 2024
